A beautiful sound art piece called "Bruit Blanc" by Void came into our attention earlier this month. Void is visual sound art collective born in 2013 from Arnaud Eeckhout and Mauro Vitturini, based in Brussels.
Love both the idea and the set- up of this piece. Below is a write-up about this piece by Void.
The resin discs are molds taken from the gallery architectural surface (floors, walls, ceilings). The site specific installation Bruit blanc is an attempt to read all the sounds that every surface has absorbed during its history, starting from the idea that sound leaves traces of its interaction with every material by a natural phenomenon of sound erosion. All these sounds draw a picture of the place’s acoustic history: a sound archaeology of the space.
