Inspired by the Mosaic Series, we want to create a table top conversational piece in which the uniqueness of the growth rings on each end-grain tile can be recognized by the viewer when playing a game or arranging the tiles to function as coasters. A base is designed to store each loose tile while presenting its one of a kind beauty when the tiles are not in use.
